Bright Speech and Language, LLC specializes in providing comprehensive speech-language assessments for children with a variety of communication challenges. Using a playful, family-centered approach, clinicians take time to fully understand, explain, and document each child’s profile. Subsequent recommendations are tailored to unique needs and prioritized based on impressions of how to best support functional communication ability.

About

Mike Bright is a speech-language pathologist with more than 15 years experience helping children communicate more successfully. Trained and employed through Boston Children’s Hospital through 2020, he has developed an expertise in thinking about particularly difficult-to-understand speech. Mike was also selected in the inaugural Bootcamp provided through Apraxia-Kids, and he is recognized by that organization for Advanced Training and Clinical Expertise in Childhood Apraxia of Speech. He has received intensive training and subsequent in-depth experience working with a variety of complex speech and language disorders. Mike enjoys helping children and their families navigate the murky and often stormy waters of diagnosis, appropriate treatment, and progress monitoring.

Fitchburg State University / SLPNerdcast - Childhood Apraxia of Speech and Its Place Amongst Complex Speech Disorders. Mike teaches a four-week, online, graduate-level course that supports learners’ ability to focus on speech as a series of intricately coordinated movements that occur within the broader context of communication. Payment

Bright Speech and Language, LLC is an approved provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. An itemized bill is also available for families using insurance with “out-of-network benefits.” Private pay is another option with a sliding scale for families that need it.
